  9. Sadly, I must essentially agree with other reviewers who have panned Felix Weingartner's orchestration of Beethoven's Hammerklavier Sonata. I very much enjoy this kind of thing -- hearing familiar works in unfamiliar contexts, from Schoenberg's orchestration of the Brahms Piano Quartet No. 1 to string versions of the Goldberg Variations to, well, Ravel's orchestrations of his own piano works.4/5(15).
